Our Structures
& Routines
The objective of the workflow in KnowledgeWorker is to ensure synergy and cohesion in the daily life of the partners and employees despite various rhythms, availability and presence at the office.
Every Monday morning from 9:30 to 10, the active consultants and employees gather in the meeting room to follow up on work from the previous week and coordinate the work of the current week.
In the even weeks we do a Monday meeting, which is a meeting where we coordinate, do a short project presentation or master class.
In the odd weeks we do a OKR-follow up meeting, where we do a quick review on the OKRs and coordinate the next steps to reach our goals.
Our weekly sales meeting is every Friday from 9:30am to 11am. The active consultants meet up to discuss potential customers, coordinate upcoming sales and plan how to handle new clients.
Weekly structure
The active consultants have a shared responsibility for cleaning the office on a weekly basis. The partners are themselves responsible for exchanging cleaning shifts with one of the other partners, if they are prevented from doing a cleaning shift one week.
Everyone who uses the office has a responsibility for keeping the office clean and neat.
Lunch is eaten together around 12pm.
Every once in a while we hang out after hours on Fridays for a cold beverage.
Objectives and Key Results (OKR)
OKR is a project management framework that we use in KnowledgeWorker for setting goals and keeping track of our process of reaching the goals.
We evaluate the OKRs continuously at our bi-weekly OKR-follow up meetings.
At least two times a year we do a retrospective, where we reflect on how we did in terms of reaching the OKRs. At the retrospectives we also decide on a strategic outlook for the company based on our reflections.
We organize the objectives, key results and tasks to full-fill the goals in a Monday board. Each key result is assigned to a person who is responsible for making the key result happen. The key results and the underlying tasks are updated and adapted continuously.
Meetings
Being a consultancy company and having on-going internal development projects entails a whole lot of meetings, especially in house.
To facilitate meetings with clients or internal workshops among other things, we use our meeting room. When setting up a meeting, you have to create an event in your calendar and through the event you can book the meeting room through the option ‘Add location’. If you haven’t booked the meeting room, you can’t claim it, if someone else has booked it in the calendar system.
Prior to a meeting you have to write an agenda and share it with the participants beforehand.
Organizational and social events are happening throughout the year.
General assembly
We facilitate two general assemblies a year, one in the spring and the other in the fall. All of the partners of KnowledgeWorker are invited to participate in the General Assemblies. The general assembly is where the company's value base is determined, the long-term strategy is chosen and, not least, it is decided how we will use and distribute our profits. An executive board is also appointed at the general assemblies.
Association council
As a supplement to the general assemblies, the association council of KnowledgeWorker meets two times a year, preferably one month prior to the general assemblies. The association council acts as an advisory body for the executive board and co-creates, in dialogue with the executive board, the strategy that will realize the company's objectives the best. As an alumni partner in KnowledgeWorker, you have a duty to participate in the association council's activities.
Christmas party
Every December we gather as many from the KnowledgeWorker family as possible at some restaurant in town and throw a christmas party.
